Today amidst numerous and numerous natural personal care products, it can be challenging to know what to use, which are really natural and actually work well too. The best news is that we have more choice than ever and if we are serious about our health, we can not only choose natural products, but optimally natural products.

The first step to this is to choose the most minimal or simple personal care routine. Secondly, the products we choose to use on our body, should be of the highest, natural quality possible. To understand natural products better and help you pick the best product for you among those that are available today, I like to share with you my experience with some of these products. Thus in this review, I will tell you about two newly relaunched detox face products from Made From Earth—the Rosehip & Hibiscus Organic Face Serum and Rooibos Tea Face Scrub.

Made From Earth is a New York company that specializes in organic, holistic and healthy personal care products. They aim to work with the best eco-friendly, environmentally conscious and recognized people in the health and beauty industry, while offering excellent customer service. They use no synthetic coloring agents, fragrances, paraffin, any petroleum products or synthetic preservatives. The company does not use or support any animal testing or animal cruelty products, and are a proud member of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics.

I had the pleasure of trying one of the organic lip balms from Made From Earth last year, as well as a few creams and greatly enjoyed them. I was therefore very receptive to trying these two products, walking in with positive expectations, which were not disappointed.

Rosehip & Hibiscus Organic Face Serum

On a first impression, I really enjoyed using this product, as I sometimes like to use a face moisturizer. While the serum can be used anytime after cleaning our face, I personally used it several times a week, only in the evenings, before bedtime. It was very easy to apply and had a light watery, rather than creamy consistency. I found that a little went a really long way. It left my skin feeling great, nourished and soft. I did not find it sticky while applying or after it dried on my face, or any other unpleasant feelings. The serum has a pleasant scent of a citrusy tone. While it is not an overwhelming scent, none the less it is very evident, so not advisable for people who are sensitive to scents.

The face serum contains numerous vitamins, antioxidants, herbal plant ingredients and nourishing compounds like MSM, a naturally occurring compound, which skin experts claim can help you avoid skin conditions associated with aging such as wrinkles. It claims to help reduce fine lines and restoring our skin’s natural moisture pH balance. While it is perhaps not optimally natural, based on some other products I came across, there are no artificial preservatives, fragrances or other harmful ingredients. In the end, it holds well amidst the natural personal care products for our face and was a pleasure to use.

Rooibos Tea Face Scrub

As most of us know, scrubs are one of the best ways to instantly give our skin a smoother, softer feel. They exfoliate our skin by removing dead skin cells. Although I do not use scrubs regularly, I have had a chance now to try a few different scrubs and generally enjoyed each one. What I found surprising about this scrub, is that not only did it offer great cleansing and exfoliating action, but it also offered excellent moisturizing action at the same time.

Again, as with the serum, a little goes a long way. I used this scrub a couple of times per week, and found that after there was no need to moisturize with anything else. Upon washing it off with water, it leaves one’s face with a rich oil or cream feel thanks to the two jojoba ingredients. It is in no way overly oily, thick, unpleasant or anything like that, but leaves the face with a rich moisture-locking-in softness. Although slightly different, I found the scent very similar to the serum in being on the pleasant, fresh and citrusy side.

In terms of the ingredients, I found them even more optimally natural than the serum. Like the serum, they contain lots of vitamins, antioxidants, natural plant extracts and nourishing oils, without any artificial or harmful ingredients.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I greatly enjoyed using both of these products, and found them very useful for my personal skin care needs. Although they can still perhaps use some more improvement or refinement, they both contain excellent natural ingredients, with an emphasis on organic ingredients as well.

If you don’t mind a slight natural fragrance and like to use serums and/or scrubs or would like to experiment in how they can benefit your skin, then I definitely recommend trying these products. They are part of the DETOX line, and a nice addition to the Made From Earth company’s line of products.

Packaging

The serum and scrub both come in plastic containers, which are fully recyclable when the products are finished. The serum comes in a bottle with a small pump top, while the scrub comes in a screw-on top jar.
