As another year comes to an end, it is time for the 3rd annual edition of Evita’s Favorite Natural Things. This is a great time to look back at the year we just lived through and reflect on all that we have experienced, from new projects to new relationships; from new products to new ideas. As we change, we always want to make sure that all that is in our life represents our current needs, desires and information in the best way.

One of my favorite things to do at this time of year is share with you all my list of favorite things. But not just any favorite things—specifically favorite natural things. As we continue to journey along the path of optimal health and wellness, taking into consideration all things green, holistic and natural, it is important to know which products really fit this criteria. Many products today are marketed as “healthy” or “natural”, but only a small percentage of them are optimally healthy for us, or truly natural. This is where I like to share with you what I have researched, found or come across through my experience to highlight really superior and valuable, natural and healthy products.

Any of the following favorite things mentioned can make great gifts that are equally valuable and meaningful, as they are practical. The natural foods can be put together into personally catered-for-the-receiver and created by you—the giver—gift baskets. We know today that every dollar we spend shows direct support for a particular product, company or person. Therefore if we are going to spend our money, whether on gifts or things for ourselves, may we make those dollars count and show our support for that which is a true representation of ourselves and our current values. May environmental sustainability, green practices, ethical practices, fair trade, local economies and optimal health guide your shopping decisions whether it be at the holiday time, or beyond.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens, brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things.
