Brenda’s Cleansing & Detoxification Tips

  1. A good cleansing program uses a combination of herbs and nutrients, along with a sensible whole food diet to support all of the body’s 7 channels of elimination (liver, lungs, colon, kidneys, blood, skin and lymphatic system).

  2. The ideal times to cleanse are around the New Year, Spring, and Fall.

  3. It is recommended to cleanse 2 to 3 times per year to reduce the risk of disease and to maintain and increase energy levels.

  4. If using a do-it-yourself total cleanse, like those from Renew Life, follow the cleansing kit instructions, as directed on the package.

  5. Take a 50% soluble fiber and 50% insoluble fiber supplement to help absorb toxins and “scrape” them from the intestinal wall, to safely move toxins out of the body.

  6. Consider an omega supplement to lubricate the colon for easier passage of toxins.

  7. Eat nutrient-rich and organic foods (where possible).

  8. Reduce excessive red meat consumption. If you choose to eat it, make sure it’s organic.
