Last year at around this time I had the pleasure of learning about natural health advocate Annmarie Gianni’s new natural personal care product launch. At that time I had the chance to connect with Annmarie to learn more about her products in a video interview. You can also see my first reactions of her products and why natural products are important in the following video featuring Annmarie’s products.

Over the next few months, I took the time to review the new products and share with you all what you can expect from them in terms of their features and best use. When we are interested in optimal health and serious about our wellness, we know that what we put on our body needs to be taken as seriously as what we put into our body. Hence, investing in as natural personal care products as possible is always highly recommended.

As Annmarie Gianni’s line continues to expand with new products, this past summer she released a Dead Sea Facial Scrub, which I will share about in this review. This joins the great line-up of her other products like, the cleanser, body oil, face oils, toner, mask, Ayurvedic scrub and anti-aging products.

Dead Sea Facial Scrub

The Dead Sea Facial Scrub is described to be a blend of dead sea mud, siliceous Earth and lavender. It is meant to exfoliate, replenish minerals, stimulate circulation and remove dead skin cells.

As I mentioned previously when reviewing Annmarie Gianni’s Ayurvedic Scrub, scrubs are a great way indeed to exfoliate our skin. By removing dead skin cells, we benefit from smoother, more glowing skin, help unblock pores and improve the overall look and feel of our skin.

Although I am not a regular facial scrub user, I really enjoyed this product, like the previous scrub. I guess what made this one better is that it can be used on its own, where as the Ayurvedic Scrub comes in powder form that has to be mixed with the liquid cleanser. This I am sure will be a major benefit for those looking for a high quality scrub, as convenience seems to rule so much of our choices today.

In terms of ingredients, as with Annmarie Gianni’s other products they are all natural, with some being organic as well. What I also enjoyed more about this scrub is more simplicity in the ingredients focusing on a few key ingredients rather than more than is perhaps needed. There are no artificial or synthetic fillers or preservatives used.

In terms of scent, there is a very obvious, but pleasant lavender scent to the product. I did find it enjoyable. However, those with a sensitivity to scents should probably avoid this product.

In terms of use, I enjoyed that unlike other cleansers I tried, the feeling of this one was that of a very fine sand. Sometimes the scrubs are made with larger, more harsh particles. This was a very soothing, gentle scrub on the skin, although it is still not recommended for those with sensitive skin. The product is more of a solid paste and a little goes a long way.

After using it, my face definitely had a very smooth feeling, very clean feeling and left me with an overall good feeling. There is no oily residue to this scrub, or any other factor that would make for an unpleasant experience in my opion, and it washes off very easy too.

In conclusion, there is definite value in this product for those interested in high quality natural products. Depending on your personal skin care needs, this may be a product worth considering. There is nothing negative about it that I am aware of at this time, aside from some people perhaps not enjoying the scent, or finding the product too pricey. The ingredients are straight forward and the product works great to cleanse and nourish the skin.

  • Dead Sea Mud
  • Silaceous Earth
  • Vegetable Glycerin
  • Organic Lavender Essential Oil
  • Organic Rosemary Oleoresin

The scrub comes in a MIRON violet-glass jar with a screw-on cap, which does not allow visible light to pass through. This helps to prevent the product from breaking down in unfavorable ways. The jar should be fully recyclable when finished with or better yet re-used for something else.
