Finding a good natural soap is not the easiest of tasks, as most soaps that hide behind the “natural” label are still loaded with artificial colors, fragrances or preservatives.

This is why it has been such a pleasure to discover the Mountain Sky company whose main focus are natural soaps. Not only do they produce fantastic bar soaps, but they also specialize in natural liquid castile soap.

Hence today I will share with you my experience with the Mountain Sky Natural Castile Soap.

Mountain Sky is a company that specializes in natural soap, and one that I had recently had the chance to try. Mountain Sky is a small, Canadian based company that stands by making a natural and eco friendly product. You can learn more in the Mountain Sky featured write-up I did on them.

Mountain Sky makes their authentic castile liquid soaps with vegetable oils and essential oils. The soaps retain their natural glycerin to create a milder natural soap. Authentic natural castile liquid soap is made with all natural ingredients and does not include any petrochemicals, detergents, SLS, phthalates, corn sugars, propylene glycols or thickeners.

Mountain Sky soaps are also made with the environmental impact in mind. Their soaps are not tested on animals, are biodegradable and river friendly.

Mountain Sky natural castile soaps come in 6 varieties: Citrus Bliss, Eucalyptus Mint, Shiva’s Nirvana, Natural Unscented, Honey Almond and Lavender Heaven. To learn more about each soap, check out the Mountain Sky Liquid Soap Directory.

In this review I will share my thoughts about the Natural Unscented and Citrus Bliss variety.

In terms of ingredients, they are fantastic. Mountain Sky really delivers what they claim.

In terms of how the soap works, it is just as great as any commercial soap would be. It lathers well – not too much, but just enough. It is very liquid, as opposed to the thick liquid soaps on the market, but still very easy to use, especially with a pump.

As for the scent, the natural unscented variety is perfect for anyone who has any allergies or sensitivities to any fragrance. The product if smelled up close, just has a scent of oil. The citrus bliss smells like fresh oranges.

The soap works great for washing hands, as well as on a sponge lathers well for a whole body cleansing, not needing any chemically artificial typical body washes. I know some people also wash their hair with castile soap, I have not tried it with this soap, but have tried it with Dr. Bronner castile soaps.

The soaps are very concentrated and Mountain Sky encourages and explains how to use them diluted. The following video gives you an idea of how this soap works and how to work with it in terms of dilution. This makes the soaps last a super long time and ensures they also provide great value for your money.
