While our daily skin care routine can be kept very simple, there are some times when we can give our skin a little more nourishment or some kind of more specific care. This is where things like masks, scrubs or toners can come in very handy.
In this review, I would like to share with you my experience with 3 of these products from Annmarie Gianni’s natural, organic and wild-crafted line: the Ayurvedic Facial Scrub, the Neroli Toning Mist and the Coconut Honey Mask. These are just 3 of the various products available in the Annmarie Gianni pure skin care line of products.
Annmarie Gianni is a natural health advocate who has at the end of 2010 come out with her own line of natural, organic and wild-crafted skin care products. Before continuing with this review featuring her products, get to know Annmarie Gianni in the video interview I had the pleasure of doing with her. You can also see my first reactions of her products and why natural products are important in the following video featuring Annmarie’s products.
Ayurvedic Facial Scrub
Scrubs are a great way to exfoliate our skin. When we remove dead skin cells, it smooths out the texture and appearance of our skin. My experience was just that with this product.
The scrub is meant to be used with Annmarie Gianni’s cleanser. It comes as an olive-brown powder (it looks like finely ground up herbs). I placed about a flat teaspoonful of the powder in the palm of my hand an put about an equal amount of the cleanser to mix it. (Annmarie recommends to use more of the cleanser). I found this amount made a good thick paste that I used on my face to really feel a great exfoliating effect. After working it well into and all over my skin, I rinsed it off with water. My skin was surprisingly silky smooth after using it.
The other part I enjoyed about this was the scent. The scent is very delicate and very different from Annmarie’s other products. It is not a flowery or rich smell of any kind. I found it to be a wonderful earthy-herbal scent, with what seemed like a delicate essence of parsley. I definitely see value in this product and would enjoy using this product from time to time, for a more thorough skin cleansing.

Neroli Toning Mist
I have never gotten into any kind of toners for my face, so it was a new and different experience using this one. I was not familiar with neroli before this experience either.
The toner is used as a spray mist on one’s face and left my face with a cooling effect and a delicate wet feeling. I can see this would be of great use probably for people who travel a lot, I know I have had really dried out and “tired” feeling skin on flights especially. However, I personally could not get into the habit of using this daily or even feel like I would need it at any time, except perhaps during travel.
Neroli hydrosol is from orange blossoms. The scent was fine, I did not have a specific preference for it. Although it comes from orange blossoms, it has nothing to do with smelling like oranges. It was not too strong or weak, and I take that it was what neroli is supposed to smell like.
- Pure organic neroli distillate
Coconut Honey Mask
I have saved the best for last—the best in my opinion that is. This was my most favorite product in the entire Annmarie Gianni skin care line. Annmarie mentions that this product is so natural, it’s good enough to eat and trust me, if you like coconuts and honey you will definitely feel this way.
I loved the smell of this product, just loved it! However, I am also a huge fan of coconuts—I love the coconut smell and taste and using it in many areas of my life. It has numerous health and healing properties. I really cannot emphasize how delicious this product smells, just purely delicious!
Why I loved it so much too, is that the ingredients are so pure and simple, and most importantly all natural!
Using it was fun too. Masks tend to nourish our skin in deeper ways and offer various benefits depending on the ingredients. The mask is to be left on your face for about 15 minutes and it was a delicious 15 minutes indeed. It can give one a little time out of their hectic daily routine and a little spa experience at home.
Although I never got in the habit of using masks (I may have used one or two in my life to date), I would definitely consider using this again, mainly for the really pleasant experience of using it. I enjoyed the way my skin felt after it as well.
- Raw mountain wildflower honey
- Organic extra virgin coconut oil
- Organic vanilla powder
In conclusion, there is value in each of these products depending on your personal skin care needs. The best part is that as with all of Annmarie Gianni’s other products, the ingredients do not hide any synthetic chemicals. All of the ingredients are easy to understand and from beneficial plant sources.
The face & body oil comes in a MIRON violet-glass bottle, which does not allow visible light to pass through. This helps to prevent the product from breaking down in unfavorable ways. The bottle should be fully recyclable when finished with or better yet re-used for something else.
