Every year on March 8, the world acknowledges International Women’s Day. This year however, the entire month of March is dedicated to all sorts of festivities as International Women’s Day celebrates its 100th anniversary.

To commemorate this special occasion, I wanted to share with you some resources when it comes to women’s health. Women’s health is a very diverse area with women needing different support at the many different stages of their life. From puberty to menopause and beyond, as well as dealing with the modern lifestyles, stresses and demands on women today, it is good to know there are so many wonderful support systems and resources out there.

To begin with, I want to highlight 4 exceptional women who are health professionals and are each skilled and talented authorities in their respective areas. It is a pleasure to celebrate the successes of each of these 4 women and share them with you as outstanding resources for your health and wellness, from a natural and holistic background.

Secondly, I want to share with you an event which is featuring 100 Women of Destiny where you can hear free lectures from various women leaders all over the world in the biggest world tele-summit retreat to date.

Dr. Carolyn Dean, MD. ND.

Dr. Carolyn Dean is a medical doctor, naturopath, herbalist, acupuncturist, nutritionist, lecturer, consultant and author. Dr. Dean has been in the forefront of health issues for over 30 years and is a leader in natural health and wellness.

Dr. Pamela Popper, Ph.D., N.D.

Dr. Pamela Popper is a naturopath and an internationally recognized expert who specializes in nutrition and holistic health. She is a leader in speaking out against any organization with agendas and priorities that interfere with distributing truthful information and promoting public health, and thus she is committed to making sense of the nutritional misinformation out there today.

Dr. Popper works for Whole Foods, one of the largest natural foods grocers in the world, as part of Rip Esslestyn’s team, helping employees improve their health with plant-based nutrition and better lifestyle choices. She is also part of Dr. T. Colin Campbell’s teaching team at eCornell, teaching part of a certification course on plant-based nutrition.

Marcelle Pick, RNC, MSN, OB/GYN NP

100 Women of Destiny

Throughout March, the award winning Grail Springs holistic retreat is hosting the 100 Women of Destiny Tele-Summit Retreat. It features 100 women experts from all over the world presenting on various topics of interest for women today. Topics range from all aspects of health and nutrition, to personal development, spirituality, dealing with stress, metaphysical areas and fitness.
